Christ Church Community Centre Christ Church is a well used Community Church, and was built after the war over a E.W.S. tank (Emergency Water Tank), giving it a very large and strong basement. The proposal is to convert the basement into various rooms thereby doubling the available space for various groups, e.g. Scouts, Guides, Playgroup, and Youth Club. We are and have been now for 5 years assisting in managing the project through its many stages of, planning and the local council, and supporting along with Inner Wheel with cash.
The project has been enthusiastically supported by the local council. The project will cost an estimated £180,000, and the church is well on the way to achieving this figure, the conversion has started February in 2005. The project was successfully completed in November 2005 and is in full use.
